Life

It´s easier than you think....

It´s easier than you think....

Many times I have been wonder about my life purpose and even the meaning of my life in this life. There have been times I couldn’t figure it out and even times when I was feeling disorientated. I think we all are in some way searching for our life purpose. Some of us just know it quite quickly and for some of us, like me, it takes more time.

And then one day it became a little bit clearer for me after watching a Ted talk by Adam Leipzig (Leipzig.com), “How to know your life purpose in 5 minutes”. He has a natural talent as a speaker and makes it very easy to understand.

Before answering the following questions, I recommend you to see the talk first.

1. Who are you? (name)
2. What do you do? What do you love to do? (Focus it down by asking you one question: What is the one thing you feel supreme qualified for? )
3. Who do you do it for?
4. What do people want and need?
5. How do they change or transform, as a result of what you give them?

To get to know your life purpose, the core questions to answer is:
1. Who they are
2. What they need
3. How they change as a result

Now you can feel free to share your life purpose!

Life is all about you, and only you

Life is all about you, and only you

“My life is my message” Ghandi

If I would give a piece of life advice to keep near to your heart it would be: “The best friend you will ever have is yourself, take good care of you and nature your mind and soul with love. Be kind, have patience, live today and surround yourself with people who you love and love you back. Don´t take any shit and stand up for you being you. Be proud of who you are and don´t let any mess up your mind”.

When I was 21 years old my life took a turnover. I didn’t know then but today at 45 years old I know that it was a big change and a start of a long voyage in my life. At 21 years old I began to ask “Why” and a new curiosity was born. I wanted to know why I was having the thought I had, why I was feeling the way I did, why do people behave in the way they do, why do people hurt each other when they love each other or are in a relationship/marriage and so many more questions.

I through myself over self-help books, spirituality, new-age, psychology, miracles, family constellations, near-death experience, miracle, about death and life, different religions and in the end, I have a library with over 2000 books today. I needed to get closer to the answers of all the “Why” I had, to find an explanation, to gain knowledge, to know, to understand and to see our inner universe, to put the Micro Cosmos confront of Macro Cosmos.

After all these years I found many answers and explanations to my “Why” (and I still do). But we, as humankind, dedicate our lives to find our “Holy Grail”. If you look at the Holy Grail as a symbol for eternal inner peace. You may notice around you that many are searching for inner peace outside of them instead of looking inside. As a result, we become separated from our own persona and the feeling of being lost is getting bigger and bigger. There will be too many “if I only…” instead of a feeling of gratefulness and serenity over what we have achieved so far in life.

Above & Beyond – Disorted Truth

Bring your dreams to reality and tell others about them!

Bring your dreams to reality and tell others about them!

How about your dreams?
Do you live your life to pursue them?
Do you tell others about your dreams?

I´m a quite big fan of Ted Talks (ted.com) like millions of people world wide. TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to spread ideas and the talks you can find in 100 different languages. Amazing isn´t?!

The other day I saw a Ted Talk by Barbara Sher about “Isolation is a dream killer”. Barbara Sher is a great lady, she runs her own business, author of seven best-selling books, holds seminars and workshops. Many are calling her “The Godmother of life coaching”.

We all have dreams, don´t we? Some few and some many and some of us are cool with keeping our dreams. And others want to fulfill their dreams but they don´t know how. Listen to Barbara Sher made me think differently about my dreams.  How we all are problem-solving people and have it naturally to help each other only if you express your desire to fulfill your dreams in a correct way. Because we depend on each other to make our dreams come true. Don´t we?

For example, I would love to sell my art and have expeditions but I don´t know how to realize this. Here are my wish and I this is the obstacles: living in a new country, don´t know the market, huge concurrence, pricing, quality of my art, and I can go on much more… But thanks to Barbara Sher I now see it differently, now I have the possibility and motivation to see clearly around my dream and the obstacles. I have to express my dream and wishes to people around me and maybe someone will hear my dream and reach out a helping hand…

Three different lives

Three different lives

Currently, I´m reading “Reality Shifts” written by Cynthia Sue Larson (Click A. Posa Books if you want to read more about the book). Arriving at page 73 she has written some questions that caught my attention and made me do some serious reflection… Let me quote: “Imagine your life as three different sets of possible realities, each one different than the life you are living right now../.. How do you feel about these possible life paths?” Take your time and so some reflection on this question.

Interesting isn´t? Now take three sheets of paper and name them or by number or what you like. Now you write down three different lives that you can visualize, imaging or that you dream about. Please note it should not be about your current life. Try to make it as detailed as possible with pictures, feelings, thoughts, surroundings etc.

When you are done and here come the tricky questions… What do you notice confronting these three lives? Is there any of these three lives that is more important to you than the others? If yes, what does it tells you? What are the feelings and thoughts that evoke in you?

Writers block....

Writers block....

Writer’s block is a condition, primarily associated with writing, in which an author loses the ability to produce new work, or experiences a creative slowdown. The condition ranges from difficulty in coming up with original ideas to being unable to produce a work for years. Throughout history, writer’s block has been a documented problem” (source: Wikipedia)

For over 8 month I have been thinking of updating or more correctly, write text and put in some nice pictures of all of my work. But I have found one million reason not to do so… my creativity has been in painting, reading and many more things.

Hopefully I will put myself together and do some work with my homepage.(Project: 2019….) Since it´s exactly one year ago i posted my first post! Some things takes time, maybe too much time…

The meaning of life

The meaning of life

When you least expect things, things will come to you”

I took a late visit to the bookstore this evening in search of a map. Yes, I know Google Maps, but I still like the traditional ones in the paper where you can see the whole city in one picture. However, I started to talk to one of the employers spontaneously and he asked me about the map and he asked me how long I´ve been, Catania. Many people find it quite strange to move from Sweden to Sicily. (You leave a nation where everything works, to an island who is almost the opposite). But for me is not and neither to him (he is from the north of Italy).

In some point in life, you find other values who is more important than anything else, like having the latest fashion in your wardrobe, shoes, handbags, cars etc it doesn’t matter. Things who really matters and make your day is the small thing in everyday life. Like waking up in the morning and the sun is shining, go to the bar below and have your morning coffee. Run to work along the beachside an early morning, feel al the flavors, morning sun, even the early morning traffic. But most of all the true pleasure to stay with friends, parents, and family.

He said a very nice thing about Sicily; Sicily is like a big mother, who embraces everyone. If you are poor, you can go to the market and buy clothes and food for almost nothing, you can be rich, blue, yellow, happy, sad. Mother Sicily will always forgive you and embrace you. The Sicilian life is simple, beautiful and grateful with all its flavors.

I dedicate August Wilhelmsson – “Somewhere In Between” to this moment…
