One month into my solo exhibition “Houses & Art” at Torre Casalotto
Togetherness
(New Painting 50x150 cm)
A painting has already found its way to Sweden — “Returning” (120×150 cm) — and in its place now hangs “Togetherness” (50×150 cm), a new piece that quietly explores the deep, wordless understanding found in long relationships. Two houses, side by side, grown into each other like old friends weathering the storm — still standing as the light breaks through.
The meaning of this painting only revealed itself after it was completed. Initially, I was drawn to paint two houses against a powerful sky, set in a vast and open landscape. What I didn’t realize at the time was why I needed to paint it — especially on a canvas with such an unusual, narrow shape. Every artist has a preferred format, and this one challenged me. But after a week or two, the message became clear:
Relationship. Belonging. Togetherness.
The quiet strength of standing side by side, through good and bad. You can almost hear Dionne Warwick’s “That’s What Friends Are For” playing in the background.
You can now experience “Togetherness” in person at my exhibition in Sicily — until July 8th, 2025 — at the stunning Torre Casalotto Golf Club.
From the wide horizons of Scandinavia to the sunlit skies of Sicily, my paintings invite you to pause, breathe, and reflect. Inspired by the vast northern landscapes of Sweden, each piece speaks in silence.

Un mese è passato dall’inizio della mia mostra personale “Houses & Art” al Torre Casalotto.
Un dipinto è già partito per la Svezia — “Returning” (120×150 cm) — e al suo posto è stato esposto “Togetherness” (50×150 cm), un’opera nuova che esplora silenziosamente la profonda comprensione senza parole che si sviluppa nelle relazioni di lunga data. Due case, una accanto all’altra, cresciute insieme come vecchi amici che hanno superato la tempesta — ancora in piedi, mentre la luce si fa strada.
Il significato di questo dipinto mi è arrivato solo dopo averlo completato. All’inizio, sentivo semplicemente il desiderio di dipingere due case sotto un cielo potente, in un paesaggio vasto e aperto. Non sapevo allora perché fosse così importante per me farlo — e su una tela così insolita e stretta, tra l’altro. Ogni artista ha un formato preferito, e questo è stato per me una vera sfida.
Ma dopo una o due settimane, tutto è diventato chiaro:
Relazione. Appartenenza. Vicinanza.
La forza silenziosa dello stare fianco a fianco, nei momenti belli e in quelli difficili. Sembra quasi di sentire Dionne Warwick cantare “That’s What Friends Are For” in sottofondo.

Dagli orizzonti sconfinati della Scandinavia ai cieli assolati della Sicilia, i miei dipinti invitano a fermarsi, respirare e riflettere. Ispirati ai paesaggi aperti del Nord della Svezia, parlano attraverso il silenzio.
